• Closure: Red Ryder Prescribed Fire Project Area and Roads Closure, Logan Ranger District The closure is to provide for public and firefighter safety during the implementation of Red Ryder Prescribed Fire Project. The Sinks Road (Forest Service Road #20055) will be closed during active fire ignitions. Since Sept. 26, 2026.
• Closure: Causey Reservoir Area, Roads, Trailhead Closures on Ogden Ranger District Purpose of the closure is for public health and safety while crews and equipment are paving roads within the Causey Reservoir Area. Since Sept. 17, 2026.
• Closure: Skull Crack, Skull Crack Trailhead Roads, and Skull Crack Trailhead Closures Ogden Ranger District The closure is for public health and safety while construction crews and equipment are installing curb and gutter, asphalt prepping and paving, installing guardrails, and asphalt striping. Since Sept. 16, 2026.
• Closure: Bug Lake, North Gorge Canyon, Gorge Canyon and Laketown Canyon Road Closures Ogden Ranger District The closure is for public health and safety while timber crews are cutting and removing timber along the roads as part of the Nebeker timber sale. Since Sept. 8, 2026.
• Closure: Dewitt Picnic Area Closure on Logan Ranger District This closure is to provide for public health and safety while crews are re-moving hazard trees within the Dewitt Picnic Area. Since Sept. 8, 2026.
• Closure: Area and Road Closures on the Heber-Kamas Ranger District The Area including all Cold Spring Roads (Forest Service Roads #80461, # 80463, 80468, and #80469) are closed for public safety while timber crews are cutting and removing timber within the area. Since Sept. 8, 2026.
• Closure: Portions of Bonneville Shoreline Trail closure, Salt Lake Ranger District Salt Lake Ranger a portion of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail South (Forest Service Trail 1901BS) is closed for public safety due to failing Bear Canyon Bridge and during the time while crews are repairing/replacing the Bear Canyon Bridge. • Closure: Trail Closures as posted between August 20, 2026 through November 30, 2026 on the Salt Lake Ranger Trail users are advised that temporary closures may occur as crews perform work along the Mineral Fork, Donut Falls Connector, Jordan Pines Connector, Mill D North Fork, and Days Fork Trail systems. These closures may range from a few minutes to several hours or, in some cases, multiple days. All… Since Aug. 20, 2026.
• Closure: Wheatgrass Road and Trailhead Closure Ogden Ranger District The Wheatgrass Road and Wheatgrass Trailhead are closed for public safety to facilitate roadway construction activities. Since July 20, 2026.
• Closure: Holbrook Canyon Trail Closure, Davis County, Salt Lake Ranger District The Holbrook Canyon Trail (Forest Service Trail #1628) will only be closed for public safety when danger from falling rock is present while crews and heavy equipment are working on building a new portion of trail. Since July 1, 2026.
