National Wildlife Refuges in Maine

Maine has 10 national wildlife refuges, all run by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service: Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge, Cross Island National Wildlife Refuge, Franklin Island National Wildlife Refuge, Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge, Pond Island National Wildlife Refuge, Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, Seal Island National Wildlife Refuge, Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, and Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge. 1 is closed to the public.

Each refuge sets its own closures and fire rules. Each refuge's page lists the fire restriction orders and closures on record for it, from the refuge's own fws.gov alerts, re-checked every six hours.
